Attendance Challenge Update:

Here are the numbers after last week:

9th Grade – 18 + 5 bonus points for a total of 23 points
10th Grade – 12 points
11th Grade – 5 points
12th Grade – 16 points

Seniors showed the most growth last week. 

As the winners of the ISASP challenge, the 9th graders will enjoy a special “fun” PRIDE on Friday, April 25th. Keep up the good work, everyone!

Upcoming events/deadlines:

  • Prom and After Prom tickets are now available in the Activities Office. You must have your ID to purchase.  No After Prom Tickets will be sold after Friday, April 25th.  

  • Prom Guest Forms are due to the Activities Office by 4pm on Friday, April 25th.

  • Need Lunch Plans for today? Hungry for some sweet and sour chicken? Want to support a great cause?? Look no further! Show the linked flyer to Panda Express on 53rd street today, or put 3839257 in the fundraiser box in the app or online. The fundraiser goes ALL day! Help us fund a cure for Type 1 Diabetes!

  • Panda Express - Dine and Donate for After Prom Event - Tuesday 4/29

  • The Art Department would like to thank all the talented students who had work in our recent art show in the commons.  Now that the show is over, don't forget to see your teacher to pick up your work!

  • The library wants to show how seniors and their favorite childhood books were so great to have and to show how time has "BOOKED"  📚 💨so fast! Just a little something fun to help create one of their senior 🎓year moments.📸 Pictures of seniors with their book will be our gift to them. LINK

  • If you are a current SELL Crew leader who is interested in being a member again next year, please fill out this application. This is for RETURNING members only. A new form will be sent for those students who are interested in becoming one of our outstanding leaders for the 2025-2026 school year! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Zimmerman.

  • Esports awards banquet and senior night will be held on Thursday, May 8th from 5-7 in the BHS Library. ALL students who have participated in Esports in any season this year are invited to attend. Esports students should check their email from Ms. Mitola to nominate their teammates for awards. Award nominations are due this Friday! 

  • The BHS Spanish Club is selling bracelets in the Commons for the Pulsera Project. The Pulsera Project is a fair trade nonprofit organization that educates, empowers, and connects Central American artists with students in more than 4,000 U.S. schools through the sale of colorful handwoven bracelets, or "pulseras" in Spanish. Buy them for $5 before and after school this week!

  • This Earth Day, donate to the BHS Conservation Club to help save the endangered Rusty Patched Bumble Bee from extinction by buying apparel! Link to purchase

  • Conservation Club meets every Monday from 3:30 - 4:30 in room C302. If you're interested in saving species by planting flowers and testing water quality, or you're interested in going on field trips that include boating on the Mississippi River or hiking through forests, join us!!

  • Chess Club meets every Wednesday, after school, in the Cafeteria.
