Congratulations goes out to Skye Jungwirth for finishing 9th at the Iowa State Bowling tournament on Wednesday morning. The 1st team All Stater, 1st Team All District, and MAC Bowler of the Year capped off a wonderful season with a final series of 642, and ending the season averaging 209. Great Job Skye!

This year's Visiting Science Scholar is Elspeth Petersen, who is a BHS and Iowa State graduate currently working at NASA. Read more in her biography. She will be presenting to all science classes in the PAC on Friday March 7th. If you are not currently in a science class and would like to attend please fill out this form to be excused.
The 2025 Senior Awards season is upon us. Please fill out this LINK to be recognized at the April 30th awards ceremony. The form must be filled out by Monday, April 14th, please see Mrs. Cauwels in Student Services with any questions.
Anyone interested in Girls Soccer, leading up to break, we have a preseason camp from Monday to Thursday from 4-5 pm at the TBK sports complex. The dates are March 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13. The cost is $10 to cover field rental. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Coach Fank in D264 or Coach Keith in C371.
Boys soccer will have open gym in TouVelle Stadium beginning at 5:15 pm on both Monday, March 3 and Thursday, March 6. Also, reminder to all boys soccer players that they need to have a recent physical uploaded to Family ID in order to be able to practice starting March 19. Any questions, see Mr. Hornaday.
Cultural Diversity Club is hosting their Second Annual Black History Month Contest! This contest is open to all BHS students grades 9-12. Paint/draw/use digital mediums, etc. to create a piece of art that embodies the concept: Threads of Resilience: Weaving Black History into the Future - Highlight the interconnectedness of past, present, and future, highlighting the strength, perseverance, and contributions of Black individuals throughout history. You can choose an area to highlight: Historical figures and movements, Cultural expressions, Personal stories and impact, Symbolism of resilience. Spring Fling is on Saturday the 1st in the gym! It’s going to be tons of fun and everyone should come and bring their friends! The tickets to get into the dance will be sold Monday through Friday in the activities office! Hope to see you all there!

Would you like to spend time with your friends while helping children who are battling cancer or other serious illnesses? If so, Dance Marathon is for you. For $20, you could help a child and their family while also gaining admission to BHS Dance Marathon on March 8th from 8 pm to 12 am where families of BHS will share their own experiences.
This announcement is for all students who started their Seal of Biliteracy tests in December. The last day to complete your Seal of Biliteracy test is March 2nd. Please make Seal test-taking time a priority if you have not yet completed the test.
