Ellen Braet

3rd Grade
Mark Twain Elementary

Ellen Braet is an exemplary teacher. She is always working for students and their best interests. Ellen goes above and beyond in our school not only for students but also for staff morale. She works hard with her team and collaborates to ensure that all students are getting tier-1 instruction. She is very flexible in her time and is always willing to help a student out who needs extra attention.

Ellen does all this while staying calm and collected and sets an excellent example for our students and her colleagues.


Mitch Hines

8th Grade Math
Bettendorf Middle School

Mitch has a wealth of math knowledge and is willing to share that knowledge with the rest of the BMS math team. This is evident during building math PDs. Mitch shares innovative ideas and discusses ways that he has implemented those ideas with his students. He helps to keep the learning and discussions moving forward in a positive and productive manner.

Mitch maintains a solution-focused, positive attitude. He constantly goes above and beyond to do what is best for his students and all the students at BMS.


Emma Kuebler

Nurse
Bettendorf Middle School

Emma has done an exceptional job in her role as Bettendorf Middle School nurse. She puts the students first and has built strong, therapeutic relationships with them. She dedicates her personal time to making sure she is on top of everything and strives to do a great job and make an impact on the health and safety of students and staff. She is always willing to help other nurses and has a lot of knowledge and expertise.

Her positive attitude and perseverance, even in stressful situations are inspirational.


Jessica Nichols

Jessica is very dependable!  She shows up every day giving her best effort and is always willing to work through challenges.  If Jessica needs help, she will ask for it and she also is willing to share new ideas to help students. Jessica is always looking to make Mark Twain an excellent place for our students to learn.  

Jessica is a great asset to our Mark Twain team and helps our teachers out tremendously.  She strives to help each student she works with be better each and every day!
