Parents

Bettendorf Community School District has a long standing history of strong parental and community involvement in education. Parents and families are important in the success of our students. We encourage parents to participate in their children's education as well as volunteer, and/or participation in our schools' parent organization(s).

Parent Organizations

BETTENDORF SCHOOLS PARENTS & ATHLETIC BOOSTERS

The Bettendorf School Parents & Athletic Boosters promotes and supports High School and Middle School athletic squads, cheerleaders, dance/drill team and Special Olympians. They also conduct fund-raising projects to provide additional funds for the athletic budget and to stimulate good sportsmanship among the members of the athletic squads and fans.

BETTENDORF FINE ARTS BOOSTERS

BFAB is open to anyone interested in supporting the activities of the Bettendorf High School performing arts programs, including band, color guard, orchestra, choir, and theatre. Membership is AUTOMATIC for the families of students participating in these activities - there’s no need to sign up! The organization plays a key role in raising money to help pay for uniforms, choreographers, marching band drills, contest entry fees, awards, letters, camps, transportation and other incidental expenses. The major source of these funds is through concession sales at all the home football games where BFAB families are asked to volunteer for 2 concession shifts throughout the football season. Additionally, we generate funds through our annual Patron Drive. Through these concession sales and the generosity of our Patrons, we support the fine arts programs without additional fund raising efforts.
