Julie Fee has been such an integral part of the Bettendorf Community School District in her two decades with the district. She is such a positive presence around the district and cultivates meaningful relationships with her coworkers. Everyone knows they can rely on Julie for ANYTHING.

Her dedication is apparent in everything she does, never wanting to place a burden on anyone else and NEVER complaining when burdens are put upon her. She has made an immediate impact at Operations and helps keep the department running smoothly from behind the scenes.

Above everything else, Julie has a quiet strength that has helped her to persevere over the last year. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful and caring individual working with us every day.

Scott McCreary

Scott has been an exceptional employee for Bettendorf. His work ethic, personality, and demeanor set him in a class all his own. I have personally appreciated Scott's willingness to try new things and think critically to problem solve. Never have I heard "we can't" instead I hear "let’s think about" as a way to be solution focused and have a growth mindset.

BMS is better for having Scott with us. We are welcome recipients of his knowledge and skillset. We are blessed to have his attitude and care be a part of our team on a daily basis.

"Baptism by fire" does not begin to describe Layne's time as District accountant. From day one, Layne has demonstrated a can do attitude all while navigating a steep learning curve. Layne's attention to detail, dedication to her work, and her ability to synthesize and apply new learning have not gone unnoticed.

Layne's positive attitude and strong work ethic make her an outstanding asset to our team. Thank you for saying YES we are glad you are a part of Team BCSD!

Mark Twain Elementary

Selena has done an incredible job running breakfasts and lunches at Mark Twain Elementary this year. She works so hard at what she does, takes her position very seriously, and is very dedicated. Selena has had to work through many obstacles and persevered through them. She always ensures the students are fed and held to high standards as they receive their meals.

We genuinely appreciate Selena, and we applaud ALL her efforts. The students also love and appreciate Selena and like to say her "mac and cheese is fire!"
