Seniors from BHS Health Sciences, Becky Selmani, Brooklyn McNeil, and Ava Rice-Miller with Dr. Roeder visited Hoover Elementary’s 5th-grade science classes. Becky taught students the parts of the brain and their functions and students explored more with a dissected sheep brain. Brooklyn taught students about the blood and the heart. Students listened to their heartbeats with stethoscopes. Ava taught the students how to find their carotid pulse and how to take their resting and after-exercise heart rates. #BETTerTogether #BettPride
