Jordan Drane

NurseMark Twain Elementary

Jordan takes great care of everyone at Mark Twain! As our school nurse, she is an expert at caring for our medical needs, and she ensures that any person she is in contact with feels valued. Jordan shows empathy to each student she sees and is very student-centered. By tending to their physical health, Jordan helps our students keep a focus on learning and reaching their goals. Jordan is a great planner, organizer, and collaborator. She is always involved in our school celebrations and helps to make school safe and enjoyable for students and staff. We are lucky to have Jordan as our school nurse!

Angie McDanel

Grant Wood Elementary

Angie is a phenomenal paraeducator at GW. No matter what you ask her to do, she will do it with maximum effort and efficiency. She is flexible and takes initiative. She has stepped up multiple times when other staff have been absent and helped our classrooms run more smoothly while also making the students she works with feel successful and supported. She does it all with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Angie works with some of our neediest students and pulls their best efforts and attitudes from them. She is amazing!

Despite being thrown into unexpected circumstances multiple times, Angie continues to have a positive attitude and a smile on her face every day. She always gives 110%. She reminds me to be a better and more positive person and teacher.

Kelley Smith

Outreach Worker
Neil Armstrong Elementary| Mark Twain Elementary | Edison Academy

Kelley is an amazing support to our families. She strives to help with every obstacle they may face. The assistance she gives our families can be as simple as dropping off supplies for the home to something as important as helping that family have a home. Without these actions our students would never be able to be on the classroom learning and moving toward a better future. I know when I call Kelley I can trust she truly cares about every student and family in our district.

Cyndi Urmy

Bettendorf Middle School

Cyndi is a positive role model to the students and staff as well. She always has a smile on her face and lends a helpful hand when needed.

Cyndi goes above and beyond her duties on a daily basis. If she sees a problem, she fixes it. She doesn't wait around for someone else to see it. She leaves our classrooms spotless and well supplied with hand sanitizer and other needed materials. When some classrooms got new carpet, Cyndi was the one that put all the classroom materials back. She did it with such care and organization, and her efforts were so appreciated.

She makes sure everything is taken care of for the staff and the building. She is there to help us in any way!
