Mr. Boley began his career in the Des Moines Public Schools in 1992 where he taught at middle and high school during his tenure. He’s also served as a teacher at middle and high school in Johnston and Saydel community school districts. He entered his service as an administrator in 2001 as principal in the Woodward-Granger Community Schools. He has also served as an associate principal at Valley High School in West Des Moines and most currently as principal at Woodward-Granger High School, in Granger, Iowa.
Mr. Boley believes in maintaining a highly visible presence within the community he serves and building positive partnerships with students, staff, parents, and the community. He has experience creating academic enrichment and intervention opportunities to support the learning of all students.
Mr. Boley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Northern Iowa. He has a Masters in Education Administration and Ed.S. Specialist in Education from Drake University. In addition, he is currently working on a Doctorate of Education with Drake University.
He currently lives in Grimes with his wife Shelly and their 3 sons (Isaac 19, Carter 17 and Roman 15). When he is not at school, Mr. Boley enjoys spending quality time with his family.
