Former Bettendorf High School Volleyball Coach Diane Lichtenberg will be inducted into the 2020 Iowa Girls High School Volleyball Coaches and Officials Hall of Fame. She will be part of the 2021 ceremony due to the cancelation of this year’s ceremony.

Coach Lichtenberg’s storied coaching career of the Bettendorf Bulldogs spanned 34 seasons. During her coaching career, she accumulated 739 wins and has been a finalist for national coach of the year. Coach Lichtenberg is ranked among the top 20 winningest coaches in the state of Iowa. She has guided the Bulldogs to conference and state championships. She coached eight teams to the state tournament, including state championship titles in 2012 and 2013, along with three state runner-up teams.

Coach Lichtenberg has shaped many student-athletes into Division I players but more importantly had a positive impact on her athletes off the court. The most powerful part of being a coach is your message. Her message has shaped the lives of many of her athletes. Congratulations to Coach Diane Lichtenberg!
