Since all food is “grab and go,” the plan to feed students allows parents to line up in their vehicle in the school parking lot. Please stagger arrival times to avoid congestion. We will have staff directing traffic. A staff member will come to you and ask the number of meals you are requesting. They will deliver the meals to you in your vehicle. Please do not exit your vehicle. At that time, children age 18 and younger will receive a bag lunch and the next day’s breakfast.

No food will be consumed on-site.

If you would like your child(ren) to receive meals but do not have a form of transportation, please contact Miryam Stone, Outreach Coordinator, at (563)468-3715.

Food is being stored and prepared following our local Health Department and Federal USDA guidelines and regulations. All foods are intended to be consumed immediately or refrigerated within 2 hours of pickup. Refrigerated items should be discarded within 3 days.

If you have any questions, please contact Kayla Leu, Director of Nutrition Services, at kleu@bettendorf.k12.ia.us.

Note - Previous communication indicated that this service would be available two days per week. Due to the overwhelming number of responses we received from the Bett Schools Free Meal Survey, we have decided it’s in the best interest of our students to make this service available daily.
