The committee works through consensus and develops a 10-year master facility plan recommendation for school board consideration. |
Dec. 12 | Facility Master Plan Community FormThe public's invited to take tours of Bettendorf Middle School and attend a series of presentations about the facility master planning advisory committee's process overview, existing facilities, master planning options, and financing for the potential facility projects. Participants then submitted their thoughts and additional insights about the committee's work. |
Dec. 19 | BCSD School Board Meeting - Reviewing Committee's Work & FindingsDirectors approved a 10-year plan with a phased modernization of the Bettendorf Middle School, and facility improvements at Bettendorf High School, Herbert Hoover Elementary, and Paul Norton Elementary. Directors also directed the district administration to pursue a community vote on a general obligation (GO) bond, as soon as March 2023, to fund the projects at the middle and high schools. The district would use future SAVE (1 cent sales tax) revenue and other financial resources to fund the Herbert Hoover and Paul Norton elementary projects. More information |
Through Jan. 19 | GO Bond PetitionDistrict representatives work to obtain 1,029 signatures to allow the proposition for a GO Bond to go before BSCD residents for a vote on March 7, 2023. |
