Dotson Selected as Assoc. Dir. of Curriculum and Special Services

Jillian Dotson

Jillian Dotson has been selected as the Bettendorf Community School District Associate Director of Curriculum & Special Services beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. Dotson will work with the Kay Ingham, the Director of Curriculum & Special Services, in grade level and departmental meetings to establish and maintain horizontal and vertical continuity and articulation in the instructional program in the district. She’ll also be working with special education staff throughout the district.

This past year Dotson served as the dean of students at Bettendorf Middle School. She came to the district from a position as an educational consultant for the Iowa Department of Education. She has served as the Battle Creek Public Schools assistant director of grants and federal programs. She also spent five years working in Davenport Community School District as a federal programs specialist, a School Administration Manager (SAM), and 8th grade math teacher. Dotson has taught 6th grade reading/math in the Iowa City schools and 7th grade communication arts in the Liberty Public School District.
