BCSD Saves 23% in Energy Costs for 3rd Quarter
The Bettendorf Community School District Energy Efficiency Program results for the 3rd quarter (July-September 2011) are outstanding! Overall the district saved 23%.
Electric usage is -12% (compared to -5% in 2010); energy demand is -4% (same in 2010). Natural gas usage is -46% (compared to -42% in 2010). Total cost avoided is $37,390 (compared to $19,920 in 2010).
Herbert Hoover Elementary School had the most significant 3rd quarter saving, -52% reduction in total energy usage.
Up to this point in 2011 we have avoided $110,951 in energy costs. These results continue to confirm that staff and students in our district buildings are committed to saving energy.
