Bettendorf Technology

The impact that technology advancements has had on global, societal, political, and economic environments over the past 15 years is undisputed. Just as technology has dramatically changed the world outside of our schools, it is also impacting the learning and teaching environment within our schools.

It is widely recognized that students in today’s world need to be able to think critically, analyze information from various resources, write or present well-reasoned arguments, and develop solutions for existing problems. It is the philosophy of the Bettendorf Schools that, when integrated effectively, technology not only offers opportunities to develop these essential skills, but can also be effective in enhancing the teaching and learning process.

Students today will spend their adult lives in a multi-tasking, multi-faceted, technology-driven world. It is the goal of the Bettendorf School District to ensure our students are well-equipped to handle that world.

Handout from Training:

The Lesson Planner will no longer exist beginning school year 2011-12.  Below are a couple of videos to help you understand this transition.

Teacher Tools 1:  Assignments Tool Workflow video

Teacher Tools 2: Student Groups video

If you would like to experience what the new Teacher Gradebook will be like you can go to the "Preview" website and logon with the same credentials you currently logon to for Infinite Campus.

This is actually a copy of our database for the currently year. Note:  It will not be up-to-date to what you have currently put on Infinite Campus, but it should give you a good idea of the changes.

There are also several free online 2-hour courses you can go through to learn more about the new Teacher Gradebook changes:

Please note:  with the "Work at Home" version for $9.95 you are promising to remove this version if you leave the district.

There is a second option that allows Faculty/Staff to purchase the products at a greatly reduced price as well.  With that option the copy is owned by the user and does NOT have to be removed if they would leave the district. To purchase a copy under this option, go to:
